Last class, the preK students were like scientists doing experiments. We experimented with what happens when we mix different colors together. We learned how to make orange, green and purple. This week, students used that knowledge while making their fall trees.
After discussing how to draw a tree, students used red and yellow paint to add leaves. Students painted with a crumpled up piece of tin foil to add texture to their trees. As they added the red and yellow, the colors mixed together to create orange leaves as well.
I love the way the colors blended together and the texture the tin foil creates.
