Kinderarten: St. Patrick's Day Scratch Art

Kindergarten learned how to make their very own rainbow scratch boards. On a piece of mat board, kindergarten used oil pastel to first color their rainbow background. Then using a combination of dish soap and black acrylic paint, they painted over their rainbows. After allowing the paint to dry, Kindergarten came back next class to scratch away their St. Patrick's Day designs. Students made pictures of things such as leprechauns, pots of gold, rainbows, etc. Unfortunately I did not get any finished product photos before pulling of the tape and sending them home.
