Out artist inspiration for this project, was Pablo Picasso. Picasso created portraits of women, showing the face as if we were seeing it from the front as well as the side. We discussed why these portraits were strange and why when he was alive people did not accept them as much as after he had passed away.
In honor of Halloween being right around the corner, we made our portraits of either a witch, Frankenstein, or a vampire. The portraits were made to look as if half the face was looking at you and half was of the profile view. Students mostly used cut construction paper to create these creepy portraits.
