Kindergarten: Cave Drawings

What better way to start learning art history, than to start from the very beginning. Kindergarten did just that by studying the cave drawings of Lascaux Cave in France. we learned about what cave men used to create these paintings, and what types things they painted. It was mostly animals and hunters, including bulls, bison, deer, and horses.
Kindergarten used chalk pastels in the similar colors that cave men would have had. Each student crumpled brown paper to make their section of the cave wall. They then completed a large drawing of their animal and used their hand print to sign it, just like the Lascaux Cave.
